Before they ever examine the equation.

The math...

Ain't mathing.

Those do not equate.

Interesting.

Reality has rules.

Opinions have preferences.

Narratives have motives.

Those...

Still...

Do not equate.

Some people think reality changes...

Because enough people repeat the same story.

Interesting.

That's not how reality works.

Reality isn't democratic.

It doesn't take a vote.

It doesn't negotiate.

It doesn't care who told the better story.

It simply...

Remains.

Interesting.

Humans are so fascinating.

We'll ignore observable evidence...

To preserve a comfortable conclusion.

We'll overlook contradictions...

To protect a familiar belief.

We'll explain away inconsistencies...

Rather than ask whether our explanation still reconciles.

Bruh...

If every new fact requires another excuse...

The math...

Ain't mathing.

Question.

Have you ever noticed...

How quickly people defend a conclusion...

Compared to how slowly they examine it?

Interesting.

We often begin with,

"I know what happened."

Then spend the rest of the conversation...

Searching for evidence that agrees.

Not because we're dishonest.

Because certainty...

Can become more comfortable than curiosity.

Those do not equate.

Facts are interesting.

They don't care what outcome you wanted.

They don't care what story became popular.

They don't care who told it first.

They simply...

Exist.

Narratives are different.

Narratives organize.

Interpret.

Connect.

Explain.

Sometimes...

They illuminate reality.

Sometimes...

They obscure it.

Those do not equate.

A good narrative...

Reconciles with reality.

A bad narrative...

Requires reality to keep making exceptions.

Interesting.

If every contradiction becomes,

"Well... here's why that doesn't count..."

Bombastic side-eye.

Fascinating...

The math...

Ain't mathing.

This isn't about numbers.

It's about reconciliation.

Does your conclusion actually account for what happened?

Or...

Does it only account for the parts you wanted to keep?

Those do not equate.

Perhaps...

Wisdom isn't collecting better stories.

Perhaps...

It's having the humility...

To revisit the equation...

When the answer no longer reconciles.

Interesting.

Reality has a funny habit.

It eventually exposes...
