GrandRising | Defying Gravity? No. Try the Ego.
Your Face Doesn't Need to Be Green, Bae.

🖋
I have Yet another habit.
🤷🏽♀️
I notice what people celebrate.
Everyone wants to defy gravity.
Fly higher.
Rise above.
Be seen.
Be extraordinary.
Bombastic side-eye.
Bruh...
Gravity was never your biggest obstacle.
The ego is.
Those do not equate.
Gravity doesn't care whether you're successful.
Gravity isn't offended by your accomplishments.
Gravity doesn't become insecure when someone else flies.
Gravity doesn't need applause.
Gravity simply...
Exists.
Ego is different.
Ego wants to be the tallest.
The loudest.
The smartest.
The most enlightened.
The most humble.
Yes...
Even humility can become an ego project.
Interesting.
Humans often imagine defying ego means thinking less of themselves.
No.
That's insecurity wearing different clothes.
Defying ego isn't making yourself smaller.
It is refusing to measure your worth by comparison in the first place.
Those do not equate.
Question.
Have you ever noticed...
Some people become uncomfortable the moment you stop competing?
Not because you defeated them.
Because you stopped playing the game their ego required.
Interesting.
The ego doesn't merely want to win.
It needs there to be winners.
And losers.
It needs rankings.
Pedestals.
Spotlights.
Without comparison...
The ego begins losing its favorite source of nutrition.
Bombastic side-eye.
Bruh...
Not everything is a competition.
Sometimes...
Someone else's light...
Doesn't diminish yours.
Sometimes...
Someone else's success...
Doesn't subtract from your own.
Sometimes...
You don't need to prove anything at all.
Imagine that.
The strongest person in the room is often the one who no longer needs everyone else to believe they're the strongest.
Read that again.
Power that constantly announces itself is usually asking for witnesses.
Confidence rarely does.
Interesting.
Humans spend so much time trying to rise above one another...
That they forget to rise above themselves.
Those do not equate.
Perhaps...
The greatest act of growth...
Isn't defying gravity.
It's defying the part of yourself that constantly asks...
"Am I above them yet?"
Bombastic side-eye.
Bruh...
Your face...
Doesn't need...
To be green...
Bae.
