GrandRising | Blind Sensory & Perception

Blindness is not always the absence of sight. Sometimes it is the presence of certainty.

🖋

Bruh...

Human beings...

Have an unfortunate tendency.

They don't merely...

Observe.

They conclude.

There is a difference.

Question.

How many people...

Have you actually met?

...

And how many...

Did your mind...

Quietly invent...

Before they ever...

Finished introducing themselves?

Those...

Do not equate.

Human beings...

Possess...

A remarkable confidence.

Not in reality.

In perception.

Interesting.

They become so very certain...

Of who someone is.

What they are.

What they are not.

What they should become.

What they should desire.

What they should fear.

What they should wear.

What they should do.

How they should spend...

Their time.

How they should speak.

Who they should love.

What they should accomplish.

Bruh...

That's fascinating.

Truly.

Question.

At what point...

Did observation...

Quietly become...

Authorship and agency?

Humans believe...

They are seeing...

Another person.

Question.

Are they?

Or...

Are they watching...

Their own assumptions...

Being projected...

Onto another human being?

Those...

Do not equate.

Ay yo?

Blindness...

Doesn't always...

Mean...

The absence...

Of sight.

Sometimes...

It means...

The presence...

Of certainty.

Bruh...

Certainty...

Has an unfortunate habit.

It stops looking.

Question.

How many times...

Have you met...

Another human being...

Only to quietly...

Replace them...

With...

A sentence beginning...

With...

"They should..."

Bruh...

Should...?

"They could..."

Yikes.

How revealing.

Far more so...

Than the person...

Being described.

Perhaps...

The first act...

Of perception...

Isn't learning...

To see...

Another person.

Perhaps...

It's learning...

To recognize...

The projection...

You arrived with.

Because...

Human beings...

Have an unfortunate habit.

They often believe...

They've discovered...

Another person.

When all they've really found...

Is themselves...

Standing in the way.

Bruh...

How many people...

Have spent...

An entire lifetime...

Standing beside...

Another human being...

Only to discover...

After they were gone...

That they had spent...

Years...

Knowing...

The projection...

Instead of the person?

Those...

Do not equate.

Question.

If another human being...

Can remain...

A stranger...

For decades...

To the people...

Who loved them most...

What exactly...

Makes us so certain...

We've understood...

Someone...

After a single conversation?

...

Perhaps...

Perception...

Begins...

Not with seeing.

But with...

The humility...

To admit...

You may not...

Be seeing...

Clearly...

Yet.

And maybe...

Knowing someone...

Begins...

The moment...

You become willing...

To question...

The certainty...

You arrived with.
